Normalize rough timestamp notes into SRT

This page is for scripts where each line already starts with a time marker, such as notes from a review session, exported speech-to-text timestamps, dubbing references, or a manually logged transcript. Instead of assigning equal cue lengths, the converter uses the next timestamp to determine when the current subtitle should end.

It accepts common timestamp styles such as MM:SS, HH:MM:SS, and millisecond values. That makes it useful when your notes are close to usable but not strict enough for video platforms, editors, or subtitle QA tools.

Keep timing anchors while cleaning the file

Timecoded text often arrives with inconsistent brackets, mixed punctuation, or lines copied from spreadsheets and review documents. Paste it here to turn those anchors into standard SRT timestamp ranges while keeping the words connected to their original moments in the video.

If two lines share the same timestamp or if a timestamp is missing, review the output carefully. The converter can normalize many rough notes, but it cannot infer an omitted cue from silence or from context the way a person watching the video can.

Because cue endings are calculated from the next timestamp, the final caption uses the duration setting to decide how long it stays visible. Make sure that last cue does not disappear too quickly or linger after the video ends.

After conversion, scan for overlapping ranges, very short captions, and long gaps. These are usually signs that the source notes need one more timing pass before the SRT is ready for delivery.
